S-L-O-W Stitching

I have been back to work full time and have done absolutely NOTHING on the planned stitchy list. Oh well, the planning was good, anyway. I have been stitching, however. It is very slow going, but a few things that were started a long time ago have been being worked on.

Unfortunately, the "Rules of Life" kit was missing the pattern, which I had purchased on clearance years ago. I will use the floss and fabric for other things and will see about finding a similar pattern later.

I am currently working on a door bow for my mother for Christmas. I will get some scans done and will post the progress, as well as post a picture of the finished piece that is on the kit. So far, I have put in maybe three full hours on it. Not much, really, but it is coming along.

With my work schedule, plus homeschooling my boys, stitching has had to really take a back seat this year. I am hopeful that things will improve for us next year and that I will have more time for my stitching.

The Wolf is finished! 45 Hours

As you can see, the stitching is complete on Peter's wolf. I misplaced the charm, so will pick that up at Michael's when we go this weekend.

I already have the mounting board and will need to have Peter choose his frame. I plan to wash and iron this piece before adding the charm to it.
My goal has been reached. I wanted to have all the stitching finished on this piece by the end of January. I made it!

24 Hours...

Here is the wolf at 24 hours. As you can see, it is coming right along. There are a few mistakes (done when I was extremely tired) but they are staying. I was going to frog them. Peter likes the piece the way it is and says that his will be different, which is "good." (His way of telling me that I did something "cool.")

I am still working on this almost daily, although I hadn't posted this scan. I am currently up to about 26 hours , possibly 27, but am not yet ready to do a scan.

2006 Progress on the Wolf

Well, as you can see, the frog got me a little, but he is easily put away..LOL Glad I caught my mistake when I did.

Anyway, the total hours for this piece for 2006 is about 18 hours, give or take a little. I am really bad about actual time because I tend to get up and cook, eat, stretch, etc. During the stitching time.

Anyway, here is the wolf so far. I have every hope that he will be completed by the end of January.
